Simon studied Zoology at Exeter University and then trained as a teacher at Reading University, whilst drawing at every opportunity. In 1981, Simon and his wife Caroline, set up the gallery where he works mainly in pen, ink and crayon. His illustrations, paintings and books, which are very humorous, take animals and birds in strange situations linked to his puns, quotations and slightly mixed up phrases and verses.

A series of ten (10) books by Simon Drew is available from our Library section and the Garland Holmes Collections gallery also carries a wide range of Simon Drew greeting cards.
