When Elliot Kingsley
Hall's mother, Barbara, died of cancer five years ago, the world of Enamels lost one of its most
passionate and most love advocates; a true pioneer, whose boundless enthusiasm and commitment
transformed the work of the modern enamellist, creating a renaissance of interest in this most
intricate and collectible of miniature art forms.
From her instrumental role in the
foundation of Kingsley Enamels in 1982 to her untimely death in 2003, Barbara never stinted in
her quest for artistic perfection, encouraging and supporting others with a hands on approach that
won her the respect and love of her team members and of collectors worldwide.
In celebration of such a special life,
Elliot Hall Enamels have created the above exquisite unusual new bowl of which Barbara Hall would
be justifiably proud.
Two of the limited edition of
"Barbara" will be donated by Elliot Kingsley Hall to
charities helping to fight cancer.
