It is with considerable sadness that we learned this morning that Bilston & Battersea Enamels will be closing down. They will complete orders in the pipeline but they will not be accepting new orders as of Wednesday April 07, 2010.
The closure represents the end of an illustrious history for the company going back decades. The name of the company came from the two famous centers for enameling in England: Bilston in the West Midlands and Battersea in London.
Until February 2008, Bilston & Battersea had been the exclusive manufacturer of Enamels for Halcyon Days, London for over 30 years.
Since that date Bilston & Battersea had been designing and producing their own distinctive creative and very refreshing new offerings in addition to holding the licenses for Winnie the Pooh, Flower Fairies, etc.
The Bilston & Battersea Enamels shown on this page represent our remaining inventory of Bilston & Battersea Enamels and once exhausted cannot be replaced.
Halcyon Days Enamels will continue to be manufactured by Halcyon Days Studio in Dudley in the West Midlands of England.
